I'm sure it is. I just don't know the legal requirements would be for how you would produce, package, and label it for human consumption.

Pushing strait down isn't quite right. Take the can you want to pull out. Holding the carrier still, bend the can at a 30-45 angle from the other cans. Then do a bit of a torquing motion pulling towards you and pushing the top of the can down like you're trying to lever it like a bottle opener.
Or just rotate it over the top until it pops free.
The idea is to use the top of the can as a lever to pop it free of one lip of the carrier.
