We visited Austintown's QS&L a couple of years ago, we loved the food and atmosphere, I just wish one was closer to home.

I gather it depends on the location...

I've never been to a bad one, but i've only been to the one in Pittsburgh, PA, and the one in Portage, IN.

Yeah like any chain restaurant, some are good, some aren't. Ex. Fridays near my work is really good, the one near my house is terrible and I'll never go back.

QSL near our house is pretty good, I like their wings much better than any BWW that I've ever been to, and I've been to at least 3 of those.

The Thai R Cracker sauce is really good, but messy, I actually prefer the Arizona Ranch as a sauce than on the wings themselves, and I really like the Buckeye BBQ. I liked the Parmesan Pepper I had last time too.

But thanks for bringing it up, I may have to go there tonight now. Something like 50 cent wings and $2 domestic drafts (incl. Yuengling)

I guess. They are a franchise and the food comes frozen out of the same truck as all the others... The food is about on par with Uno, Fridays, Olive Garden or other (thaw, heat, pour sauce, serve) restaurants. Everything has overpowering sauce on it at this kind of place to hide the fact that you are paying $14 for a 6oz frozen chicken patty and french fries.

I do like some of the wing sauces - but calling it a great restaurant does a disservice to places that actually make food.

Well, i've never had anything there but wings. I'm fairly certain those are at least cooked there. Whether or not the wings were raw frozen or not, i have no idea.

You have to see where I live. I live in the the middle of nowhere. I have to travel an hour and deal with city traffic and city parking just to go to the restaurants you are talking about. Out where I live there are E36 M3ty little taco and gyro places that are scattered about. Almost everything is chain restaurants or franchises and you don't hear about the hole in the wall places that make excellent food unless its by word of mouth and you don't hear about anything to often.

I thought QSL was a great restaurant. A great chain restaurant if you want to be more specific. It's direct competitor to Buffalo Wild Wings and too be honest I would rather go to QSL than to Buffalo Wild Wings any day.

You talk about frozen food being used at QSL. I would hope that a restaurant that advertises that they use fresh chicken, not frozen, does. On that same note, you would be surprised how many restaurants that "actually make food" use frozen or canned stuff all the time.

I really like their grilled boneless wings with Asian Sesame. Years ago, when they opened in Cincinnati, I went up the scale of sauces (skipped one or two I knew i wouldn't like), and Buckeye BBQ was as high as I could go. Tasted great, but I spent a lot of time drinking water and soda. I still like it occasionally with the Chicken Fenders, so I can control how much sauce is on them. I don't even want to try Supercharged (formerly Suicide), or any of the Atomic levels.

Oh, and I third calling BW3, Bdubs. Its a pretty common name around where I live. I just go there for a burger and wedges with cheese.

Bdubs is the common name around here. Haven't heard it called Buffalo Wild Wings in years, don't think that I've ever heard it called BW3.

Gotta look this place up, might stop by at some point in time.

Closest thing to QS&L in CA is Corvette Diner. It is NO WHERE as cool as this place. Will be on my "must visit" list any time I travel near one.

It is my opinion that diner food should be cheap and plentiful. Bar food is the same category.

Paying $8 for boneless wings is atrocious, considering that I can get a dozen (bone-in) at my local wing night for $3.50. Just because they are lacking a bone does not mean you can charge ridiculous prices for them.

A basic burger and fries shouldn't be more than $6.00.

I just feel like if I can go out the store, by ingredients, and have them cooked and ready to eat in the same amount of time, for the same amount of money (or less) that I can go to the local eating establishment and pay too much for a meal, I might as well stay in.

Unfortunately, QSL fits into this category.

I am not sure what part of the chicken that is in the picture, but I'm pretty sure it's not the wing.
