Question: Why do motorcycles only pump out 50-100 MPG?

I've had this discussion as well.

First point: going slower doesn't necessarily mean better MPG. For instance, my Moms old Volvo got the best mileage at around 78-81.

Second point: You have to decide if your money (and the earth's health) is more important than your time (which is money, so...).

Man gets pulled over by a policeman, who informs him he was going 80 in a 45:

Cop: You know you were going 40 mph over the speed limit, right?

Man: Sure! I'm getting low on fuel and I have to hurry to the gas station before I run out!

LOL, No, thanks for fixing that. Can't believe it slipped by me! I'm no slouch in the math department either, but I confess that differential equations pretty much blew my mind.
