My wife puts on a charitable 5k to raise money for canine cancer research. Many of the runners prefer to have a time clock at the start finish. Problem is the local run group won't lend it and the one she has access to she is losing access to. And the cheapest she has seen is about $500. That's a big chunk to not send to the charity.

My question is do the GRM collective have suggestions as to how to make an easy to see/set up digital time clock?

Or does anyone have one for cheap? The 5k is not until October.

Thanks

What about asking a local highschool with a cross country team?

Those are typically owned by the Principal's association and not available.

And soooooper Doooooper grm solution.

Borrow a large tv, borrow a video camera, borrow a stopwatch. Hook camera up to TV, focus camera on Stopwatch.

In reply to sachilles:

This could be done with crap from goodwill.

I suggested to my wife a goodwill monitor and older laptop.

Runners are so picky.
