Yup. That's it.
Special airing of Raiders of the Lost Ark in theaters this Sunday *only*. Multiple theaters around here, all showing only at 4pm and 7pm. Looks like it's in most of the nation.
We already got our tickets.

Not a huge Raiders fan. Now, if it was Last Crusade, I'd be all about it. Sadly, I'm hearing that the new one is getting worse reviews than Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

I have no idea what you're talking about. There were only ever 3 Indiana Jones films ever made, and there won't be any more.
Just like there are only 3 Alien films and 2 Terminator movies.
I mean, there HAS to be a fair amount of CGI for Harrison's stunts (which could potentially look silly). He is rather old now.
I would suspect it will at least be Bruckheimer / F&F entertaining.
Crystal skull was better than #2, by a fair shot, but that was mostly because there was a useless blonde getting in the way in #2. She irritated me a great deal.
I'm looking forward to #5. The trailers make it look excellent, in my opinion. and, I think the producers are well aware that Indy is 80 years old.

Pretty sure there were only 2 Alien films.
There could be only one Highlander film. :)
You guys are way off (depending on what you mean):
Proud to say I've never seen an Alien film.
The 2nd Raiders movie sucked. The third was just okay. They really should have quit after the first one.
LOL, no problem. I also have never seen any Star Wars movies except for the first (only saw in the 2000s) and the over-hyped Force Awakens. I only saw those because my wife made me.
In reply to Beer Baron :
A local theatre is running the original Star Wars trilogy this month. My niece took her boys to see The Empire Strikes Back on the big screen the other day.
In reply to stuart in mn :
We saw Return of the Jedi in theaters for the anniversary last month. Disney + just added all 4 Raiders movies so I've been watching 1 per night this week.

Alien 3 was not up to the standards of the first two, but was otherwise a solid movie. It jus stood in the shadow of two great ones. Kinda like being the 3rd best singer in the Jackson family.
Someone pointed out to me that Indy was just a big liability in those movies. He, himself, says that they would have found the ark shortly, so they would have found it anyway. They would have opened it anyway, and it would have ended up in a warehouse anyway. The whole story could have been told without Indy at all.
I still love it. Thanks for the heads up. I'll be in tech rehearsal all day, but fortunately I own the DVD.

There are only two Batman movies.
It's impossible to keep up with superhero movies because they keep swapping studios and actors.

They would have opened it, but Indy had no idea it would melt Nazi faces. Thus its disposition after said face melting was indeterminate.

Although he does know to not look at it, and tells Marion to keep her eyes closed. He might not have known about the melty part, but he knew wrath of god = icky stuff.
Thanks for the heads up. I'm taking the wife and (adult) kids on Wednesday night.
I remember seeing it in the theater but I can't remember where or who I was with. Meanwhile I can remember seeing Star Wars in the theater with my dad. It might have been the first movie I ever saw in a theater. I was only 6 at the time.
