I don't need to be flooded out again in under 5 yrs.
BTW, that is up about 5 FEET for about 4 inches of rainfall.
EDIT- from when I just posted.

Sorry. The creek here flows north into the Big Sandy River which then goes into the Ohio River. And the rain is heading more east then south.
Can't afford it. And even though FEMA came through the last time, not a dime, even though we had flood damage.
Flooding is the last thing on our minds in St. Louis. The water's so low that you can walk to islands in the rivers, and a wrecked WWII minesweeper that sank in the Mississippi in the flood of '93 is accessible by foot.
We had flooding here in northern Florida, yesterday. But I think that is to be expected. I mean, the water table is so very close to the surface, the whole state is pretty much at sea level...or even below it in some places...and drainage? The storm sunday did what T.S. Debbie did a month ago: came ashore travelling east to west, then stalled for a bit before reversing and going west to east.
Rain has fallen at some point nearly 5 of the last 7 days (that is, some days showers, some days a heavy drizzle), and this week looks to be a repeat of that.
As of right now, it has gone down about a foot and the creek didn't get high enough to take my trailer away.
