Volvo likes new tires and functional active damping.
Switching the dampers to full soft is worth a few mpg.

My wife's grandfather bought it two years old in 1949 from a guy who found it to be "too fast"!
he "restored" it in 1995 and gifted it to me in 2008 or so just before he passed away

Lucky guy. Again ... so cool! I love Cushmans. I had a friend way back in the early sixties who had one. It was his father's, but he drove it. And he drove it well. I really envied that scooter. I wonder where it is now?
