I have been racing for about 20 years or so. I have never heard of a Hong Norr ESC.

Maybe that is where the name came from?

Hong Nor is a Taiwanese company that makes R/C stuff---and it's been known to be pretty craptastic. Hence the White's naming their Challenge team thusly.
