Actually, I think "actually" is way overused. I'd actually be pretty happy if people would actually think about what they actually sound like.
(^^ only word I've consciously tried to expunge from my vocabulary lately.)

I use both often. I also use 'rack' to denote many of something but I think thats a local DC thing.

For the sake of grammar, at least get him to say "that's beastly" or something of the sort.
I say "bollocks" periodically but I like to invoke goats when I swear. I use expressions like "berkeleyity goatnuggets" a lot. As far as I know that has yet to become a trend.

Sounds like a Robert Earl Keen song.

I like it when people say "Are you berkeleying kidding me?"
I always reply with, "No, I'm berkeleying berkeleying you".
Gets 'em everytime.

I always say something is the bees knees. It's caught on with all my friends, just like cool beans has
Also, since we're on this topic, every time I read "needs washed" or "needs repaired", my mind hears the sound of a 747 colliding with a locomotive through a field of cattle in between the two words. I'm just saying.
What about "right?" or " I know right?" But I often respond in a conversation by saying "right right" instead of "uh huh"
Im bringing back "sike!" and "not!" and "watchamacallit"
Actually is also on my short list. You hear it on TV all the time: "I am actually going to drill through this piece of wood". Really? Ummm, that's not such a big deal, so actually is like, mis-used.
(see what I did there?)

you beat me by a few minutes with that one- it was going to be my contribution to this thread. it always comes across as as dismissive ind more than a bit douchey to me..
which brings up another phrase that needs to go- "douche bag" and every variation of it...
My new phrase for this year is, "Go berkeley yourself." You'd be surprised how quickly the attitudes of people change when they are confronted with this .
SO STOKED BRO!
I am like a fire that your feeding more oxygen into, and I am excited, brother. Lets us do this adrenaline based outdoor activity together, shall we?

I don't think I would be very surprised...

Watchamacallit was ever out?
Berkley, shiny happy people, and E36 M3.
I bet it's nothing but a bunch of stupid shiny happy people that use words like that.
This might be industry specific, but around here in the IT field, the catch phrase goes something like this:
"well, from a perspective..."
I go out of my way NOT to use the phrase. Was hearing it in my sleep...
Well, from a server perspective.....from a storage perspective.....from a virtualization perspective......
driver109x wrote: Im bringing back "sike!"
If you insist on bringing that tragedy of a word/game back please for the love of whatever deity, spell it properly.
It is psych. Not sike or syke. As in "psych out" from which it was shortened.
My big pet peeve, which is becoming more common every day is when people use "seen" when saw would be correct.
"So the other day I seen a show" or "You should have been there, we seen the coolest car" That kills me almost as much as "warsh"
