Even l don't eat at Toxic Hell.

What's worse? The robbery or these guys eating Taco Bell?

Indy Guys robbed?

If they went to the one at 16th and Tibbs I'm not shocked they got robbed there. That's a rough area.

Makes me wonder about that time me and a few friends walked to Scottys if I remember the name correctly after an F1 race from the track. It was still daylight by the time we got there and a local patron gave us a ride back downtown much later. Isn't there a White Castle sorta near the Slippery Noodle that can be sketchy? Besides Taco Hell has got to be better than haggis.

9:40pm? I often can't justify a trip to taco bell unless I'm a few beers deep and it's after midnight.

Yes, the trick to Taco Bell is to load everything with hot sauce and never eat there sober.

I dunno, I've had Taco Bell. I'd try haggis.

Last year on vacation, my mom saw something on a Taco Bell ad that she though looked good, and wanted to get some food there after probably more than 20 years of not eating there. Confirmed that nothing's changed, they're still selling a cruel mockery of Mexican food.

If you travel directly East of the speedway the neighborhood gets extremely rough. Not sure what those guys were doing stopping there, they should know better--- as they've both been to Indy tons of times. I guess you just don't expect to be robbed.....especially after winning the pole!

A.J. Foyt once celebrated an Indy 500 win by having dinner with his wife..........at White Castle! (true story)

Another reason why I like AJ.

Nothing wrong with eating at Taco Bell. Sure, it's not fine cuisine and you wouldn't want to eat it every day, but sometimes it just hits the spot. There's a place in this world for all tastes.

Taco Bell is great once you come to terms with it being dog food.

Not a big fan or frequent diner at Taco Bell, but it's no worse than McD's or BK IMO. My favorite item which may no longer be on the menu but they still make it, is the 7-layer burrito.

News article said: Suspect "was apprehended by a police dog." I can only wonder if the dog read him his Miranda rights.

Yup. Spend the extra 30 cents an item for "steak" instead of the ground "meat" that goes into everything and it's pretty damn tasty. Especially compared price wise to any other chain.

Seriously, I like haggis. (Yes, I have a kilt for special occasions) I love Mexican food, could (and often do) eat it 5 days a week, and a haggis taco could be pretty good!

I think McDs is a league or two above Taco Bell, although it's been many years since I've eaten McD's anywhere but in Canada, where they're trying to move upmarket to become a Starbucks competitor, so I might not have a good idea of what's on their menu in the US. But BK has indeed sunk to, or likely even below, Taco Bell's level over the past decade or so.

Today's BK is fast food from a cyberpunk novel (which matches their corporate behavior, see the Google-assistant-hacking TV ad.), the cheapest possible substance that can be legally classified as food, being marketed to people who can't afford anything better. And it doesn't even have some flavors tossed in there making a half-assed attempt to entertain you like Taco Bell does. It's not aspiring to be anything. It's just a bargain-basement facsimile of already cheap American fast food.

They say Taco Bell isn't real Mexican food, but I say it gets the job done for half the price, and that's as Mexican as it gets.

I like Taco Hell. It is my 2nd favorite restaurant. Where else can you get a meal and change back from three bucks? I will admit that the further you get north of the Red River, the lower the quality goes, but then that's for all "Mexican style" food. Arizona has got to have the best Taco Bells in the world. Even if you go in there and the crew is all white kids, they are still the best.

Note that I'm vegetarian, so I have no idea what the meat dishes are like.

My Mexican friend loves Taco Bell. I had to get him a crunchy taco if I went there before work.

One of my first jobs was at a kfc/ taco bell. Ever wondered what a kfc chicken skin burrito looks like? I know.

I'm living in mexico right now, and taco bell's got nothing on real mexican food.

The sad truth is that such a thing would sell like hotcakes if they put it on the menu

This. Even though their food has gotten better quality and not as crappy as it once was I still love it.

Those that talk about the "dog food grade" obviously haven't eaten there in a while. They actually have good, healthy choices now as well.

As for the robbery, we've been seeing a huge influx of Chicago violence here in the indy area over the last 12-18 months. Apparently they aren't happy E36 M3ting in their own kitchen so they come down here and do it here as well.

Don't get me wrong. Just because I call it dog food, doesn't mean I won't eat the E36 M3 out of it. I will. Stoned or sober.
