HD does have a bigger selection than Lowes for LEDs.
Costco has more than Sams, but neither of those has anything other than the basic sizes or shapes.

By my count, with all the shuffling around, I screwed in 41 light bulbs today.
Yay, progress. We have a recessed fixture above the kitchen sink, and I recently replaced the bulb with an LED. I picked it up while grocery shopping. We're happy with it.
I run six of these off a dimmer in my office. They're right next to a room with incandescent, and the color and light output is very similar. The only buzzing I can hear is if they're pulled out of the can. In place, they're silent and they come on instantly. We mostly run them at around half brightness, but having the ability to set them to "operating theater" is nice when we're doing detailed work.
