So I have this crappy little MP3 player that I listen to audiobooks at work, and the audiobooks I listen to can be upto 10 hours long in one file. Unfortunately sometimes I will accidentially hit the next button and skip to the next audiobook, and then it would take an hour to fast forward back to the part I was at. So I am looking for a program to take all of these massively long files and divide them into smaller files so I can have smaller chapters to listen to. Grm hive mind must know of a free program that would work for me.

Thanks!

Any of the free "make music on your computer!" programs should be able to do that. The programs where you have drums, guitar, a sax etc and can add notes, like Garage Band. I don't know how cumbersome it would be to load a 10 hour file onto that, or if it is possible for such a large file, but those programs should be able to split the mp3 file into sections that you could save independently. Probably not the easiet solution, but thats all I got right now.
