I second that. While I haven't driven one, I really liked the look of the dash. I'm curious how you felt about its functionality.
So, it's a reincarnation of a 1975 Sedan DeVille.. Not entirely a bad thing. How's the ride? Like driving your living room sofa or something not 60's-70's Caddy-ish? I personally would like to see one of these with a bordello-red crushed velour interior..
Is the charge door broken? If not, it will be. We have multiple customer Lyriqs with sub-10k miles on their second replacement charge door, because the mechanism breaks and then the door won't close. Apparently a common issue, because one of the other car mags said the door on their test Lyriqs broke both times they tested it.
I hope that video helps. The dashboard is neat, but not that neat. I have rented a Tesla 3, a Tesla y, a Kia ev6, another Bolt, and a Rivian so far. This is my least favorite.

Awesome video. The controls for the seats on the doors reminds me of what Mercedes-Benz does. The actual buttons - like on the steering wheel - all look like they feel the same, with not much tactile differentiation - bummer. I do like the center console screen selector thing (Mazda uses those) - but that's because I have an aversion to getting fingerprints on screens.

I really liked it. It was the SUV version, and the third row was pretty superfluous, the seats folded down weird and we're not terribly useful like a minivan. Then again, it was at par for a three row suv.
It was meltingly fast, like it actually had too much power, as if that was a thing. It was really nice on the inside, and it was really nice to drive. I would take one of those over the Cadillac any day.

I'm really glad, though I'm surprised! I took it in 5 minutes on the side of the road with my phone. I'm glad it was helpful.

You know, as someone who likes lockable gloveboxes, I like this feature. Too many of today's cars feature gloveboxes that don't lock. I can understand the silliness of hitting a button on a touchscreen, but this is 2024, right?

One more complaint, the turning radius is terrible. I took some of the guys to lunch, and I always back into parking spaces, but I didn't make it with this one. I had to take another round at it. That does not happen. I don't know why some vehicles have such poor turning radiuses.
I only put a few hundred miles on it, and it's really fine, but I'm still not completely sold. Looking up the price, it is indeed a bit cheaper than the rivian, but honestly I'd rather have the Kia ev6 than this, and save a little money doing so. I would still rather the Kia even money. Considering the cost, I would still buy a new bolt if I was in the market. If price was no object, so far the Rivian would be in my garage. If I wanted something sporty, the Hyundai ioniq n or the Kia ev6 GT or whatever they call it would be the pick.
I'm just not seeing why anybody would buy this. It's comfortable, it's nice, it's fine, but the others are better. I would be happy driving it, but I'm just as happy driving the bolt everyday.
