First Dennise McSuitcase and now Satch? That is scary.
Satch's love of Loti and hatred of all things Subaru forms a part of my persona to this day. I feel that if not for him I would like my FRS a lot more than I do!
Big fan of both of these authors. God speed.
though it took many of the "younger guys, many of whom are now pushing 40" nearly a decade to appreciate the beauty of rallying a RWD car, I'm beyond grateful that some of the cantankerous old heads continued to push us to see the light that it's about testing yourself as a driver and having fun, not about taking the most techno advanced piece mechanical grip machinery capable of puncturing the earth and ripping it's skin off while merely steering with the right foot pinned to the floor and seeing what time you can turn.

Wrong Carlson.
Saw this yesterday, sorry to see him go. He was a big ol' boy, some of the old pics made it look like he didn't climb into those SAABs so much as he put them on.

Right you are! Does that mean my guy still is still pumping prose somewhere on the planet?
Funny how they both had a thing for Saabs.
Satch has the last page of Hemming's Sports and Exotics every month. He was also the editor of the BMWCCA magazine. Not sure if that's still the case or not.
In reply to GameboyRMH:
Initially I was upset about the incident, until I realized that the vessel containing the beer hadn't been destroyed, then I felt consoled and reflective.

Yup, he's still editor of the Roundel, and the main reason I'm letting my CCA membership expire.
In reply to aircooled:
I don't cry over spilt milk
