You likely have not heard the last from him though. He did licensed his voice to be used by AI, for Darth Vader at least.
I suspect it might be a bit strange, but also a bit nice that we haven't actually lost his voice. I wonder if his estate might license it for more later, which is where it might get weird.

I'd forgotten about that. I recall now being somewhat surprised about that myself, young as I was, when I read the book (after seeing the movie) and placing him in that high role in my mind's eye.
