I heard a rumor somewhere that everyones' favorite extremist protest group plans on making an appearance. Biggest prank setup ever?

Tons of dumb stuff here, probably even an old video or two floating around the internet that would get me brought before a judge.

I was fortunate in that nothing too bad ever happened.

I'm pretty tame now, figured I shouldn't test my luck anymore.

Theres stupid, and theres epic stupid. When you have a GT3, those stupid limits are WAY up there. Thats why I like narrow allseasons, they keep the limits low.

I'm 23 and I do stupid things. Some times on the street, but I always give my self breathing room, and I don't endanger my friends lives. I go to the track more and more often. Far bigger adrenalin reward too :D

Tinfoil hat is in full effect. The only reason I sort of believe it is April is the one that made the announcement, and April would not likely do that as park of a Jackass prank.

The only thing I could ever hope for anyone to say at my funeral, followed by everyone sucking down a big shot of whiskey, is "That mother berkeleyer did some cool E36 M3 while he was alive."

And berkeley ever one of you who would speak ill of him or say "he deserved to die." Go to hell. He was a real human being with friends and family who loved him, probably more than you'll ever be loved by anyone. Everyone makes mistakes, both in youth and adulthood. I've narrowly escaped death more than once, and if you haven't, you're not doing it right, IMO.

This guy lived more of a life in 30+ years then most of you will in 70 or 80. Have fun with your cancer.

^ This. I wish nobody ill will, and I'll freely admit I loved the Jackass movies/show. Sucks that he made the decision he did, but that's his choice.

Any feelings of compassion for loss are not diminished by harsh scorn on the reality of choices we make having consequences.

Police say he was doing a minimum of 130mph. This would end up being the final in a string of bad choices...

I dunno about any of that other stuff, but that last bit...

If you think burning-out is 'really living', why are you posting on an internet forum? :/

That only works when there isn't a substantial chance of innocent bystanders getting taken out too. And on public roads in a populated area, there is really very little time that is true. Is it really a "decision" when you're coming up on somebody with a deltaV of 60+ mph?

Thank you. I (personally) take issue with people who sacrifice morals/values because they "wanted to do it" and "have no regrets".

I personally wouldn't be happy if I didn't have regrets on my death bed; that means that I hadn't lived and learned. Most people who say or describe themselves as "living with no regrets" are shiny happy people who don't give a E36 M3 about anyone.

And finally, it is sad that the guy died. While I did not find jackass funny (there was one or two skits that were), it still sucks. Now, if he was driving 130mph while drunk, then I could give two E36 M3s, too bad he took out somebody with him.

I'd figure at least half the people on the road at 2:38 in the morning are legally drunk. That tends to reduce the available the number of available "innocent" bystanders.

That would mean statistically, half the time i'm on the road at 2:38 am, i am drunk?

Not neccesarily you, or me. Hell I don't even drink. But there are others that are on the road at that time drunk 100% of the time. I'm not entirely sure 50% is an accurate #, but it's high.

only if you were the only person that ever drives that road at that time... statistically you could never drive drunk at 2:38am if there is someone else who is always drunk on the road at 2:38am...

No, that would be 100% of the people, 50% of the time. He said 50% of the people. It is entirely possible for you to be sober, at that time, 100% of the time, and thus not part of the other 50%.

Is it really worth twisting words?

Guy screwed up. Made a bad choice and it cost him. I feel for his family, friends, and fans. Hopefully, they will learn something from his mistake, and feel compelled to speak out against drinking and driving as well.

I feel bad that it happened and sorry that he and his friend are gone, but the sad truth is that Ebert was right, even if he jumped the gun and was insensitive. If he had survived and his friend not, we would be talking about what kind of criminal prosecution should be happening. He was a drunk driver who killed someone

EDIT: I was curious about this, and thought others might be as well. Assuming he weighed 250 lbs (looked like a big dude), that is about 13 drinks in an hour.

I'm curious because I thought I read somewhere that the coroner's office wouldn't have a toxicology report for 4-6 weeks?
