In addition to being a great actress, she was an awesome late night guest as well.

I had a huge crush on her.  So cute and so funny, and good in serious roles too.

Just a genius scene all around: the expressions, the body language, the dialogue and, of course, the premise.

Indeed. The way she'd flirt with Letterman was hilarious.

Everyone remembers her comedy  (as they should) but I remember her absolutely believable terror when they come for her child in Close Encounters.

I don't think that was her role.  She was Richard Dreyfuss's wife, and she did a great job trying to deal with his craziness.  The mom whose kid was taken was Malinda Dillon if I recall.

I'm not going to pretend for even a minute that Mom and Dad Save the World wasn't a whole heap of stupid fun.

I never thought of her as especially sexy. But funny in a very endearing way. She really seemed like one of the good ones.

Yeah, she was always nice to see on screen, no matter what.

She'll be missed.

When we were in Canada Niagar Falls a few weeks ago & some time to kill before dinner, I found Young Frankenstein on the Roku the hotel room had.  And Mr Mom was always a big favorite.  Scooner Tuna!

It just occurred to me that of the main cast of Young Frankenstein, only Mel Brooks and Gene Hackman are left.
