my package arrived full of impala parts. mostly head gaskets and valve seals.

rock auto employee bent the head gaskets right at a cylinder, through the steel ring, to fit them in a not big enough box.

5 minutes on the phone was all it took to get a new set on the way, no need to send the bent ones back. the guy on the phone sounded like he rolled his eyes and shook his head at their packaging employee when i told him what had happened. the best part - he got PO'ed because packer left the "packaged by" line blank on the shipping slip.

A+ for their customer relations in my book right now, and i don't quite need the gaskets yet because i need to do the valve seals and springs first. after the day i had i just had to laugh this one off.

I have had nothing but an awesome experience with rock auto, fast shipping, great prices and great customer service Edit: do you have a Chevy 350 that could use valve seals

Wow, somebody's a brilliant packaging engineer.

Good on Rock Auto for replacing it quickly.

nope, none of my 350's ever have had the poof at startup no matter how many miles. i'm putting new used heads on my 5.3 and figured i may as well change the seals and clean them while i'm changing the valve springs.

they definitely made right on it right away, which is why i posted. nobody ever posts when someone does something positive, it's all complains when something is wrong. the guy on the phone took care of it right away.

I received a radiator from them about 3 months ago. It took me two months to finally install. When I did, it worked fine for a day or two. Then the one attachment point came apart.

I told Rock auto what had happened and they sent me a new one. They did ask for the old one back because they wanted to see how it failed.

Their customer service is excellent!

I've been absolutely blown away at how inexpensive parts are for the 81 Champ through Rock Auto. A new caliper---including brake pads---- for $14?! Hell yes! Parts for this thing are so cheap it's comical! Parts have arrived all in good shape--- on time. Call me a fan.

I have only good things to say about Rockauto. Well one thing bad is their shipping charges. If I order a bunch of parts and they come from multiple wear houses the shipping charges from each can add up to enough that it may be cheaper to order from another supplier that ships everything from the same location!

A while back I did order and receive some parts from them that was side specific, a right and left side. I received two rights. I called them and explained that I could modify the right side part to fit the left side and explained that it was cheaper for them to just credit me for the wrong part and we'll call it even. The CS rep agreed.

Their customer service does rule. I've had a few gaskets completely destroyed by their packing department as well, though.

Yeah, I've had a couple issues with their shipping, but they always take care of it without an issue. Returns have been easy too.

Shipping fees can get out of hand though, compare carefully!

I love them too. Only complaint is that the low prices are sometimes offset by the shipping costs when you put a lot of stuff in your shopping cart and it ships from 4 different places.

Rock Auto is like crack. I would rather wait a couple days to finish a project and order the parts from them. Just bought some AC Delco reman wheel cylinders for the Elky for $2.22 each. All three brake hoses were under $6 each.
