Everyone thinks of a sailing regatta as being a "gentleman's sport". If only people knew. A large percentage of regattas are won before the start. Unlike in motorsports, sailboats jocky for position before the start and do their damnest to hit the line when the gun goes off.
Sometimes, they can get a bit too aggressive

Sailing is a lot like racing, most people just don't understand it.

Why did they show the Debris flag? They also mentioned the Blue flag, but I don't think ether were a lap down.

I agree.. AC has become the spectacle that F1 is. It may be racing, but it is no longer as fun. The One Design races are much more fun as they are more about strategy, skill, and crew than (metric) cubic dollars spent
