That is a good truck when even the nationalistic and proud French people buy a Ford over a French made/owned design. I wish the global ranger was available here.

Ford has built trucks in France since before the war. They might be more French than freedom fries.

France unloaded a bunch of surplus Ford engines a few years ago. They were flatheads still packed in Cosmoline.

I always hear stories like this, but never see it. I'm still looking for the army jeeps packed in cosmoline, but will settle for a Garand.

The army Jeeps are long gone. They were listed in the Princess Auto catalogue back in the 60's, iirc.

Huh. These are the same people who disqualified the first Rallye Monte Carlo winning Mini over illegal lighting. Not thinking I have a lot of sympathy for them...

Find obscure bomb shelters, explore them. That's where I used to see them, along with the motorcycles and food stores. While almost all have been found and recovered, a few may still lurk in dark unexplored corners.
