My mom called me this morning crying and she told me my 25 year old Quarter Horse had gotten colic and has passed away this morning.
Scooter was technically my moms horse, but I spent much more time riding him and caring for him than my mom did back in high school, so I just started referring to him "my horse".
He was the best horse and its sucks to know he's gone. 
ouch, i am sorry to hear that. I never cared for horses until I spent time around them. They really are like big dogs that you can ride.

I'm so sorry - I lost my 22 year old buddy a couple of years ago. Hurts like hell. Condolences.

We lost a horse a couple of years ago. It hurts, it sucks but time does help a bit.
It never ceases to amaze me what horses can do, yet be so fragile in some ways. I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your friend.
