I'm a Canon guy myself, but I have to revise your statement to say Canon and Nikon are the only brands to go for. They're the Chevy / Ford of the camera world - no real shareable parts, rabid lovers and haters on both sides, but performance is about the same and in the end it comes down to personal preference.

Oh word, maybe I've just been getting the opinions of my Canon-owning friends haha. I have a Nikon Coolpix P500 which is a fake DSLR. It's aight but I can't manually adjust focus and the lens. The Canons I've played with are legit though.
I'm in an online photo contest and its theme is vehicles. If anyone is in the DMV area and wants a shoot of their car contact me!
No critique on the photos but what is up with the splitter on that EVO X? Looks like its raked up at the front?
Was in Spain recently, did not have my good camera with me so made the best with my Samsung Odyssey. Quality is okay, but went more for picture structure. Here are some I found nice:
Traveling:
Middle of the amazing al-Hambra palace:
This area was the king's own commons quarter. Beautiful
Opening to another commons ground:
This is Sevilla's town hall grounds
In between these pillars is a map of a region of spain as well as a picture depicting a significant event in that region's history. There are many around the grounds, so you can actually find out about spain's history by looking at each one:
Reinoso - is the kissing street. The buildings are so close to each other that in the past neighbors used to kiss each other. Wouldn't mind living there ;)
Grounds for another palace I forget the name of:
Skylight:
Some drug-flower that is not too good for your health. Pretty though
Chillin'
Some nice looking castle
