Ford has made Model T technical drawings available online. They're helpful for making new wood patterns and sheet metal. The images are zoomable and can be saved to a degree, but I can't figure out how to save them zoomed all the way in in their entirety. I can do it a piece at a time. What am I missing is there software to make this easier? Here's what I'm talking about:

Yeah, they've locked that page down pretty well. Looks like downloading the whole image doesn't allow for a high resolution.
You may have to email them and request access to the higher resolution images.

Yep they've really done their homework, they only stream pieces of the document you're zoomed in on to your browser as small .gif files.

If you can't just take a screenshot directly, then Snipping Tool on Windows will let you do it and then save/copy/etc
Yeah, they did a great job! I'd imagine you'd have to contact them or stitch it together yourself.
BUT
If you right click > Save Image As (at least in Firefox) you get a pretty darned good resolution image instead of the .gif you get if you hit their download link.
For example, here's a (zoomed in) area on the "full" image PNG I got vs. their Zoomed In (3 times hitting the "+") of the same area:
It's a 3.5Mb PNG, I'd be happy to email it over to you if you send me a PM.

Interesting, this is the first I have heard of a "Deep Zoom Image" (.dzi) filetype

Yeah, it's a cool bit of kit...
It's what makes the modern map & "seemingly infinite zoom" starfield kinda images work. I don't know of any way to pull the original (highest) resolution image from them withouth a script that manually puts it back together, though, because the original image is never actually transmitted.

Bwahaha found a way to use this trick to get good hi-res full images!
In Firefox, open the image fullscreen (ideally on the biggest monitor you have), use the on-page controls to zoom in, then back out (this will allow the browser to use the save image controls). Hit F11 to open your browser in fullscreen. Then hit Ctrl-Minus to zoom your browser out as far as it will go. Then right-click and save image. Got a 10.1Mb .png on a 1080p monitor this way! I can try this with my 4K gaming PC monitor later.

Nice! I'm on a 3840x20160, and I did go full screen (F11).. Cool :)
Ok, that seems to have worked. Many Thanks!
