I saw a Holden Commodore on the Stone Mountain Fwy. in Atlanta this morning. It took me a few minutes to verify what it was. A few minutes googling and I think it was really a G8 with a Commodore body kit. http://jhp.com.au/g8partsdirect/
As much as I like the looks of the G8, I might like the Commodore even more, a bit more understated without all the typical Pontiac garish add-ons.
+1 on the Commodore look. much prefered
There are a few RHD cars with MFG tags in Lansing. One is a turbo V6 mule that sounds farking awesome. The engineer that is flogging it stops at the Subway outside the window of my office once a week. He says it is sweet but will never make it into production now.
If I were going to the trouble and expense of hiking one from Australia.....

Was it a dark grey color? If so, its probably my co-worker. It really looks good and I agree it is better looking than the G8. He says that he gets all sorts of people staring at it, asking him what it is, etc.

Yup, 'normal' left-hand drive dark grey/charcoal.
It is a converted G8, right?

I personally love the MFP color scheme used on the interceptors in that movie. Of course, I also love the flat on gloss black interceptor...but the yeller ones are very sexy.
For those not familliar with the Mad Max movie, MFP = Main Force Patrol

Yeah, definitely a converted G8 GT. It's a good looking car with the conversion.

No! not thankfully. I could live with the Pontiac add-ons for the car that we were getting
