I miss living in that area. No brain cleanser for a day like heading up to Yellowstone for a couple of hours. Did you go through Jackson at all or were you primarily on the Montana side?

we stayed in Jackson, spent 3 days in the parks, 1 day on the Snake river, 1 day in the Elk reserve/fish hatchery......

Nice! Such a beautiful place this time of year. Once the trees start turning within the next month or so, it gets absolutely astonishing.
