That was an AWESOME finish!

Just checked local radar and everything was moving west-to-east, staying south of RA. The forecast calls for a better chance of rain tomorrow.
Formula Continental runs in about 50min.
Yeah, I see that...there is some green on the radar just south of Plymouth, but that may not be hitting the ground. Looking back to the west, it is really coming down...so if it shifts north at all, it will hit Elkhart Lake.
a group of guys gets on the comment section and just cuts up something awful. It was really a lot of fun watching the race and poking fun at the announcers. Not sure why but I laughed a lot.
Seriously disappointed at the guys flagging just past One during the FF race. Body english means a lot, that guy should have been waving like crazy for a car in the line. I see there's the crest of a hill there, I wonder if he just couldn't see how bad it really was?
Aside to stroker: they usually get archived at the speedcast site, but it takes a while for them to edit them. I think the 'whole day' footage from Thu. is up, but hasn't been cut up into individual races yet.

Thats probably what the issue was. But race control should have let them know the car was in the middle of the track. As the announcer said, there was some questionable decision making by race control this week so far.
Who da thunk a DSR would be the fastest-ever club class at RA?
Gotta wonder how much it costs to build a 800lb, 600cc-turbo motored car that will average over 120mph.
When you've got boat loads of other people's money that you may or may not have strong-armed them out of in a money lending racket, which might or might not be a violation of your probation for mail fraud, you can build a fast DSR.
Sad news, SCCA related. I learned today that Anna Hill, SCCA Corner Marshal and daughter of SRF stalwart Lee Hill passed away sometime last night.
At Le Mans, 2012.
RIP.

600cc TURBO???? Man, I must be WAY behind the curve. I thought DSR were 1000cc normally aspirated? When did that change happen?

As far as I can remember the D Sports engine formula was: automotive engine- 1300 cc, 1L MC two valve- 1025 cc, 1L four valve- 1000 cc, two stroke- 850 cc and four stroke 600cc turbo.
Looking back, all have had their winning era's except the 600 turbos, nobody could ever get them to live... until now. A lotta 600's shared cases and internals w/ 400's. I'd venture the crank, rods, clutch/ basket and trans were the weak points which couldn't stand up to a 1000 pound competition road race car.
Be interesting to see how Tucker made it happen.
btw... Tucker ran twin turbos
