I picked up a pair of Klipsch KG4s with a 1990 build date for the princely sum of $10 today. No visual damage to the speaker cones, surrounds or voice coils. I'll get them hooked up tomorrow to report on the sound and get photos uploaded

yes it most definitely is It'll be nice to hear to some of the projects I've been working on, on something other than studio speakers.
Some people have all the luck. All I've managed to score lately are these Realistic PA-100's with 15" woofers. They were free, however!
I would be all over some vintage Klipsch speakers...

So what are you going to hook them up to? Need some tubes for a DIY tube amp build?
Sweet! That was my dad's speaker choice when he first invested in a quality system. They still sound great. My brother also invested in a used pair.
I had some klipsch in a 40,000 square foot shop and they were clear sounding everywhere. The guy I got them from said they were out of a theatre.

I picked up a Harmon karman SR300B for $40 this evening to run them. Eventually I will put together tubes to power them, for now an early low power solid state will work as they're going into a 14x16' room.
