I've noticed some very interesting unusual / interesting screen names on this site, and was just wondering.. what's the story behind yours?
In my case, I have a Nitro Yellow Green (traditionally refered to as NYG) Neon with a vanity plate that reads NYG95. It's a Georgia plate, hence, NYG95GA.
ClemSparks has been my automotive alterego and racing "alias" since about '97 or '98.
I found some name patches that said "Clem" and came up with "Sparks" as what I felt was a good companion last name to Clem.
Dorky...very dorky.
Clem
Huh? My story? Okay. It was never easy for me. I was born a poor black child. I remember the days, sittin' on the porch with my family, singin' and dancin' down in Mississippi.

I believe you've confused Dork with Jerk.
I managed a hobby shop for a number of years. My son's friends called me the Toyman.
My middle name initial + my brother's middle name. S. LeFain.
Been using that name online since 1998.
Well, I had a rusty rabbit...
Mine used to be "ArtOfRuin," which is a lyric from a Lamb of God song. I still go by that on most other forums. I changed my screenname to RexSeven when I got my RX-7.

Crap, I should really read the posts I am replying to.
Quasi Mofo is the hunched black of the motre damned.
Halfast_racing was our old race team name.
Halfast_neon was one of the race cars.
Harold Thong is pretty self descriptive, PLEASE don't make me post the picture.
Bjorn Turock is my name whenever I do ABBA covers.
There are more...
The first part of mine is:
walter
Gender: Masculine
Usage: English, German, Scandinavian, Polish, Ancient Germanic
Pronounced: WAWL-tər (English), VAHL-ter (German, Polish) [key]
From a Germanic name meaning "ruler of the army", composed of the elements wald "rule" and hari "army". The Normans brought it to England, where it replaced the Old English cognate Wealdhere. A famous bearer of the name was Sir Walter Scott (1771-1832), a Scottish novelist who wrote 'Ivanhoe' and other notable works.
The last part is the letter j which the meaning of is secret.
I have never owed a vehicle that was not air cooled. Although I do drive around an 87 Mazda sometimes, but that's technically my g/f's.
Needless to say, kind of narrows my options if I want a new vehicle. I have always thought that I would make the jump to electric if I bought new.. still waiting for that to become a reasonable possibility.
i was thinking about my name being "Ron Mexico"...
My initials followed by my home address number from back in 1996 when I first started using this webname all over the internet.
I think I first chose this name because I received one of these disks
And the internet looked like this:
Billy is my given name. 3 refers to the generational suffix. I'm named after my father (Jr.) and Grandfather (Sr.).
Back in the early days of the Internet, I always used billy3, which, when read out loud sounds like what my family calls me--"Billy-three." Once lots of people showed up to the internet, I would often find that billy3 was taken, so I appended the esq, which refers to the fact that I'm a lawyer. I got the idea from a college buddy who used it in his alias for me in his e-mail client.

I feel I speak for everyone here when I thank you for keeping that picture to yourself; the mental image alone is giving me the heebeejeebees..
Mine's easy. Carson is my name. I used to be Carson! on the old board, like someone would say if they were excited to hear what I had to say. The new board wouldn't let me use '!' so, I dropped it.
I'm just not all that interesting.
One of my cars is a convertible...guess what color?

My father and I had the same first name. We also shared the same middle initial but did not have the same middle name(mass confusion at times). When I was 6 months old some of the neighbors started calling me Junior. That did not sit well with my mother so she got a book to look up nicknames for Harold. And I have been "Hal" ever since.
I had a 92 CV that was maroon. well, still do have it, but it stopped running about a year ago, still haven't fixed it.
On one of the Elantra boards (Elantraclub) my old screenename was BobMs_wht2k2... first name, last initial, white 2002 ELantra.... but I had a habit of taking EVERY topic offtopic, and going on mini-rants and stream of conciousness writing styles that were both comical and thread destroying. So someone had mentioned I was like Godzilla tearing through the street of tokyo destroying everything in my path....so the site owner, being a smart aleck like myself changed my name to Bobzilla while I was logged out one night. I came back to that waiting for me and I have used it ever since.
EDIT: IIRC, he even changed my avatar to a paint version of Godzilla. lol
