It pisses me off, but not as much as watching Mythbusters smash up perfectly good, 30-40-year-old rust free cars.
I, more or less, am pissed that they used the Cadillac. Everybody seems to have this misconception that old cars are so tough. Well they're not. I guarantee the front and rear bumpers, along with the grille and trunk lid were damaged during that shoot. Parts for early 60's Cadillacs aren't exactly in stock. Body work and bumpers are easy, but stuff like grilles and aluminum/stainless body trim are not.
Oh and I bet both those Miatas are automatics.

Given my screen-name here, I should be pissed...
But the reason I thrash Miatas is because they do what I want a car to do, but is ultimately disposable if I totally berkeley up, because there are so many of them out there.
The Caddy? Not so much.
Hurts me more to see the Cad hit the Miatas, than to see the Miatas get hit.

Yup. I'm pretty sure you could replace all the damaged parts on both Miatas, in the correct colors for $600 with just a bit of hunting on Craigslist.

When you work for the cable company, you get it free. So don't hurt too bad.

You'd be surprised. There are companies that have cars like that, available to use any time, that are in good shape.
You'll probably see that Caddy in a Viagra commercial next year.
What, nobody here has heard of Photoshop or CGI? Back before CGI etc there was a short lived detective series called 'Matt Houston'. I remember this clearly because in the lead in they showed a covered headlight E type going into a lake and getting all balled up. Man, that pissed me OFF. Why ruin a great car like that for a crappy TV series? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_Houston
