My friend's father has a 2000 mustang gt with white oxford leather, and only 15000 kilometers, its never been driven in the rain, and is damn near perfect. He believes that its worth $28,000. I disagree.
I said it was probably closer to $16,000, and then looked it up on kbb to get $9,875.
Your thoughts?

Since you list the mileage in kilometers, should we assume you are Canadian? If so, the "guess" of $10,000 or $11,000 needs to be adjusted for the local currency.
BTW, I have a 1992 Acura Integra with nearly 190,000 miles on it, I believe it's worth at least $2,000 as a trade on a newer car. Will I ever get that much? Not likely. Moral? What anyone thinks something is worth, and what it can be sold for are usually 2 different things.

If he truly believes that it is worth $28K then I suggest that he contacts his insurance company to get a "stated value" policy. Otherwise, I think he will be sadly disappointed if his car is a total or near-total situation.
