I guess if E36 M3 in the middle of the olympic swimming relays they would DQ me so I suppose it's a fair ruling.
On a side note - I need one of those obstacle courses for my dogs. That is awesome.
My dog typically has a sudden urge to poo after running around. I guess it loosens up or something.
As for the DQ, the dog didn't finish the course so it really doesn't matter.
My greyhound will do about 5 laps at top speed in the backyard just before taking care of business. Nobody gets between a greyhound and his poo. When we go places he refuses to go if on leash unless it's been a long time and there is no place to run! Crazy dogs--gotta love em.
Thems the rules.
Dog shows are very proper. I don't like proper. If you're racing and need to pee, you pee.

He didn't pee.
If (Insert name of favorite professional driver here) stopped in mid-run and did THAT in front of the grandstands, there just might be some sort of penalty.

I'm not going to google it for text or images, but there was a top female marathon runner who had bowel issues during a race and didn't stop (fairly recent). I don't think she finished in top form, but I think she either finished, or tried really hard to finish. Certainly no DSQ from the organizers.
One of my old girlfriends does dog agility training. I sent her the link, she said, "Happens all the time. Thrown out for not finishing the course, not for the E36M3 itself. What did you call it back when you were racing those stupid cars? Did Not Finish? It's like that."
Aside to GPS, she used to build & sell the equipment for doing that stuff, but she pretty much quit after she was diagnosed with MS. Send me a PM if you're really interested, I'll see if she'd be interested in helping someone get started. She knows the local rulebook, anything she'd build would be legal.
