I am redoing an outdoor electrical outlet. It is a two gang box with a GFCI outlet. There used to be a pump attached and there was a switch for it on the old cover. I want to find an outdoor cover that has a blank on one side and an opening for a GFCI outlet. Does this exist?

I don't know if they have an offset one, but you can block off the unused side with a blank "switch." Same shape as a decor switch or outlet, but just a hunk of plastic.

They make indoor ones.  For outdoor i think your best bet is a double one and use the switch blank.  You could always silicone the blank if you’re concerned about water.  Or you can get a single one for a double box that mounts your outlet in the center instead of offset.

Like this?

This thing's proper name, if I'm not mistaken, is a two gang weather resistant cover for a single device.

Most of the "In use" covers come with multiple configurations so you should be able to get one with GFI and blank, just check the packaging before you buy to make sure it has what you want

You might also try the Leviton site, as they have stuff you might not see at HD; although in the end I found the one gang GFCI-outlet/switch combo at HD, it took going to Leviton to convince myself it existed (but didn't exist in the color I wanted)...

I used this for basically exactly what you are describing. One GFCI outlet and 1 switch.  It comes with several different interchangeable panels you can use as needed for the opening you need.

I am not sure exactly what you mean, but the in-use boxes can be built any way you choose. This is the one I used since it works great against vinyl siding;

I think you are looking at this the wrong way, you have an open slot now!  What can you hook up? Hot tub? Exterior spot lights? Ray Gun?

You'll need to log in to post.
