I remember the ABC Sunday Night Movie had a pretty steady rotation of "Live and Let Die", "The Man with the Golden Gun", "The Spy Who Loved Me", etc. I know his Bond was cheesy, but I loved him for it. Much lighter and more fun than the Craig Bond (which I also love, but for different reasons). Those movies fit their time perfectly.

This. Definitely among the best Bonds. A cheesy and humorous Bond is fun and requires a lot less suspension of disbelief than a serious Bond.

Yup, he was my first Bond as well. No offense to the amazing Sean Connery, but I didn't even know who he was until after I saw The Spy Who Loved Me.

I agree with GameboyRMH.

I hope that they destroyed a huge number of AMC Matadors whilst making that movie.
