I almost started a thread on growing pecan trees and harvesting earlier this week. That and miniature citrus trees (which would be indoor) interest me, though I'm unable to enjoy the harvest of either right now.

There are some assorted chocolate goodies in the break room. So far Nancy and I have been good. (We're the only ones here today.)

Just going to leave this here. I'm also extremely lucky to have just joined cube nation and work for a tech company so I have a fully stocked kitchen full of delicious things.

I miss the free-flowing days when vendors would send us stuff. Now it's just the occasional tin of store-bought cookies. Not that cookies are bad, but we used to get some really good stuff. (sigh...)

That said, I'll keep an eye out for chocolate covered pecans...

I had chocolate covered almonds the other day at work for the first time and they were mighty tasty.

These are spectacular and easy as hell to make. We shelled 80 pounds of pecans over Thanksgiving and made several trays of these. Man they are addictive.

I just so happen to have about 10 pounds of pecans in the freezer...gotta go!

The idiot company I work for won't allow vendors to drop off goodies anymore.

....meanwhile our execs are out playing golf on the company's dime.

One of the less than great things about working for a large faceless corporation.
