Yep. Closed on it Monday. It's my first ever home purchase and I'm more than thrilled. It's a three bedroom, one bath (upstairs) with a full, partially finished basement. 2.7 acres with a drive in garage in the basement and a SHOP!!!
SWMBO is a cosmetologist, and we're wanting to build a salon in the basement to accommodate that. I'll make a build thread of that soon enough. Right now we're painting and moving crap, and if you've ever moved or painted, you know what that's like so I won't bore you with that.
Those of you on my Facebook will probably get those.
So yeah. Really excited, things are looking up! Gotta get the house projects finished so I can get the race car in the garage and start prepping for next season.

BAHAHAHAHAAAAA! Good luck!
Seriously, congratulations on the house.
Mine has become the most expensive and time consuming hobby I've ever had.

Congrats! I'm envious of the shop and the land. Enjoy them well!
If you haven't yet, check into the zoning ordinances and licensing requirements of running a business out of a residence.

And most important don't hide it from your insurance. One person trips on a pebble and they will own your new house because your home owners insurance did not cover you for buisness activity.
Sorry for being the wet blanket but I don't want you to get in a bad spot even it is because of good intentions.
Congrats!
I should be closing on a home tomorrow as well.
In for pics. Congratulations.
Congrats

Until your ex-wife ends up with it.
Thanks everyone.
There are lots of in-home salons around here, and we're looking into the regulations to get it certified and all that. The basement already has a separate entrance, a bathroom, etc etc.
We're about finished painting, still like some big stuff to move, but Hurricane Dickhead is still pouring rain on us up here in Kentucky.
