My wife wanted to have some kitchen backsplashes installed. So I watched some videos and read up and said, "Sure, I can do that in a couple of days."  Took a week off figuring I'd have a few days to do garage stuff too. Then she picks the tile she wants.  Brick on one wall, and glass tile mosaic on the other.

Both walls took me a week including the under cabinet lighting.    End result:

The tile pattern was dizzying at times. One tile upside down and the whole layout needed to be redone. I laid it out on the garage floor first.  I only had one goof end up on the wall and lost a half bucket of mortar when I found the goof.  I am pleased considering it was my first time tiling or bricking.  She did the whitewash. Now back to the real world and work this week.  And I still need to find time to work on my Miata to prep for track season.

That's a tough tile to start on, that's for sure. I do really like it, though.

That looks really nice. Your wife has a good taste. But the far right side where the counter ends, that would bother me. I have this issue with things needing to be flush.

Thanks all!  It was a learning experience and fun once done!
