Here's some shots of the chest panel, since it's pretty dark in the video.

Good work, Corey. You've obviously been working very hard and have good reason to be proud of that work. Many people can't say that.

Thanks. I really appreciate that. I've put so many hours into this freakin' thing, and it's finally leaving this weekend! I stopped by the brewery to check out his spot last night, and he's definitely going to a good home.

I'll build him one, but it won't be cheap!

There might be some motion sensing revisions in the future, but not right now. But yeah, that would be fun!

Forgive me if you mentioned it already, but do you have something like a service contract lined up for him? Might be worth having that discussion sooner rather than later.

No I don't, but that is a good idea. I did stamp the bolt sizes on the access caps to all the joints, so if he ever loosens up it's pretty user friendly to fix, but that is probably something that should be discussed.

We have briefly talked about doing a Tin Man car, so that will be fun if it happens! I have a feeling this robot might get me quite a few jobs from them, as they've been completely blown away thus far.

Quick update: The robot has been installed since their opening, and he's been a huge hit! We didn't make a "service contract", but I offered to write up a maintenance manual so their employees could do simple tightenings, or I could maintain/repair it at $35 an hour. They agreed on the latter. They said since I built it, they'd rather not have anyone but me work on it. I've only had it in for repairs once since their opening in November for a broken weld and to tighten a joint, and he's being posed several times a day, everyday since opening.

In the mean time, I get pretty funny pics of the robot randomly emailed to me or posted on my facebook wall. This one's titled "My beer in a box".

This was me at the soft opening, with the robot proving how "metal" he is.

The barrier thing wasn't in yet at the pre-opening. That's why he's surrounded by shrubbery.

Here he is playing the finger circle punch game, or what ever you want to call it.

There have also been quite a few that were much more inappropriate for a family forum. I'm not posting them because of that, I just can't find them right now.

Maybe it's because I've been playing with vacuum tubes lately, but that thing needs a vacuum tube glowing from the inside.!
