I'm well aware of the politics there. I'm there all of the time and 3 of the best friends live there. I'll be back there for the 5th time in 12 months for the SG GP here in 2 weeks.
If you have the money, it's automotive nirvana. It is not a city for the poor though but neither are it's peers, NYC, Tokyo, London, and LA. Price out what it costs to have a car in Tokyo and get back to me. It'll make SG look competitive. Low traffic, great tracks just across the border in Malaysia, and really the only big city that I like to drive in there. I hate driving in Tokyo and would prefer to use the train and taxi when I'm there.
Last time I was there I drove in a car like this: https://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.php?ID=852147&DL=3439 Yeah it's a lot if you were to get it new but 24K USD or a car even one that is older like that isn't bad and it was a great city car.
Anyways, This is about Japan. I can't wait to get this beauty shipped here next year in April. It's sitting in my buddies garage just waiting for the 25 year clock to expire.
