I've only ever been menaced by a squirrel. It didn't come to blows.
I was moving the peanut, trying to see how high I could get him to climb up my jeans....he got to the knee, jumped and bit my hand so I dropped the nut.
BTW, I suspect the idea for the movie is loosely based on this (....which may or may not have actually happened.)

About a year ago I saw an adult squirrel carrying another(presumably dead) adult squirrel in its mouth. I decided right then & there that if the squirrels were turning into cannibles it was time to stay the berkeley away from them.

I am guessing that squirrels are behind the shortage of .22LR ammo. They are behind a vast conspiracy to eliminate .22 ammo as they know how many of their brothers have fallen to it.

At one of my old posts I used to share a snack with a squirrel every day. He'd sit on a brick wall, I would hold out a nut and he would take it from my hand. After eating a couple he would start to run them back to his stash
