What would you spend it on if you ruled out anything automotive?
I have too much E36 M3 in the compound as it is. I'd take a hell of a road trip, around the country.
The responsible side of me says that would pay for some nice home improvements (new back deck, refreshed kitchen and master bath), but the fun side of me says that would make for one hell of a vacation. I've always wanted to go to Europe and I could see a lot of things for 25k.

too close to automotive, and it will need to take up all your free time and provide you some physical activity, travel is already in the plan this is beyond that, something just for you....like wood working making stuff...being productive, some how, put on those thinking caps, i am looking to you guys

say your 55 and you have the house and the pool and all that E36 M3, (think basement activity)
Option 1) A couple kickass mountain bikes, a kickass roadbike, a teardrop or pop-up trailer with room for several bikes on the roof.
Option 2) Reasonable cad computer, a full-blown license of Solid Edge or Solidworks, a Kinect, a measurement arm, a few fabrication tools

i have thought of building those little trailers, i have 2015 Autocad and all that at work, which is also done at home...
If its a "must blow 25K, cannot be practical" sort of exercise, something from here: http://www.milweb.net/classifieds.php?type=1 or here: http://www.tanksforsale.co.uk/.
I really like the BMP's on the second one, but don't know what the pricing structure is.

I'll have what he's having.
If I wasn't tied down I would buy the '72 240Z and hit the road. This guy did it in a Datsun 1600.

If I couldnt spend it on a car(s), then I would mod my golf cart/ get a cheap(ish) center console boat and use the rest on a month-long trip to St Croix, and other spots in the Caribbean. That way, I would have a nice vacation and some toys at home waiting for me when I get back.
Realistically, the money would go towards the wifes student loans and maybe a small cruise.
If I had to spend the money on toys that weren't cars, I'd probably buy a JLC Reverso and a couple decent vintage watches like a older Doxa dive watch and '50s Omega.
Then the rest on traveling.
