Good car, but it was time to move on.
Bought it in 7/2009 with 22,000 miles on it. Paid $11,700.
Sold 10/2015 with 92,000 miles for $4000.
11 cents/mile.
Unscheduled repairs: Sway bar end link bushings, replaced with poly, $30. EVAP system overhaul, paid a shop $800, didn't want to mess with it.
6 @ 10k Mobil1 oil changes.
2 sets of tires.
1 accessory drive belt. P/S belt still original.
1 set pads & rotors. Rear drums never touched.
All in all it was a great value to me, but the automotive ADD kicked in and I am taking more road trips, and the Scion is a lousy highway car.
What's next? Dunno. I'd really like a slightly used Mazda3 hatch, or perhaps a Subaru Impreza, but they are thin on the ground in slightly-used condition with a stick.
I also have my eye on a slightly-used Prius. Sure, it's a boring appliance, and I'll miss shifting, but it would be an incredibly practical vehicle at this stage of my life.
Meanwhile, I'll enjoy my recently-acquired 1990 DB Integra.
