Yes, it can be hit or miss, the latest X-mas special was a HIT. I am waiting for saturday morning to get "It's A Trap" under the tree

There's hours and hours of very mediocre humor for every funny scene. They make good compilations but can be a complete waste of time most nights.
That's probably a fair assessment. I just haven't watched enough of it to see anything good stuff.
I grew up in the 70's in front of the TV like everybody else. Was that at a humorous bit? Sure, but had it been done a million times already? Pretty much.
That's FG to me. BTDT.

Family Guy is one of the few shows that is willing to do something the makers know is stupid- and then drag it out for extended periods of time- and still have it be somewhat funny if you have even a vague grasp on what they are referencing. i've seen some pretty stupid things on that show that were made funny merely by having the proper amount of discomfort as part of the joke. it's a fine line, and they rarely step over that line for me. but i do know that there are a lot of people out there who's line isn't quite as far over as mine is, and they tend to either just not get it or find it flat out offensive..

let's all go to Al Harrington's Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man Warehouse and Emporium for some crudely painted not so funny plywood cut out folk art.
