I went to UGA. So did my brother. My parents still fly the red and black.
I talked to my dad after this week's big game.
Him: "So, did you watch the game last night?"
Me: "Um, I didn't know about it until I saw a tweet at kickoff."
Silence....

I'll freely acknowledge that I don't follow team sports. After five years at UF, I went to the last four football games before I graduated. That was fun, but I haven't paid attention since.

I feel like the missing duggas might be a problem. Maybe too low of an air pressure? Or if it's a battery impact, maybe it needs charged? That would be disappointing, especially if you only have one battery and need to get the project done tonight.
One of my groomsmen is from Grand Rapids, fan of U of Michigan. Other is from Camilla Ga, UGA fan. The text chain between the three of us on the semi-final game was great.
I'm an FSU fan, so I really don't get to talk any sort of E36 M3 anytime.

Yes he's right to be disappointed that you're on twitter.
In reply to David S. Wallens :
I was born in Athens. Both parents went to UGA (mother actually graduated...).
I did know about the game, but I don't have network TV, so I didn't watch the game either.

I guess so but I don't know; whatever.
As an engineer, do you know what I find disappointing?
The fact that it takes 22 men three hours to move a 15-ounce object 180 feet.
I watched it because I was stuck in my hotel room in Chicago. And as much as I do love watching people get CTEs live I wished there was something else I could have been doing.
Just did the math...the net rate of movement is 32.73 inches per man hour ((180*12)/(22*3))...pretty sure that's slower than then the net rate of movement in tournament chess.
I went to sleep at half time and checked the score in the morning. I checked with my friends who are rabid dogs fans and confirmed that the score didn't change.
I bet you would have had fewer snide responses if you'd said University of Georgia...UGA doesn't register on the minds of people from other parts of the country.
UGA grad (1999) who grew up in Athens here... I desperately wanted to make the 7.5 hour drive from SW Virginia (Hokie country) to Indy, but both my wife and my brother in law both declined to accompany me because of COVID fears...
so, we saved a ton of money and watched it at home.
Fantastic game!
Even my dad, who is a Tennessee fan watched the game and cheered on the dawgs... I would have slapped him through the phone if he hadn't.
Go Dawgs!
The Fiance and I are both Ok State alums and had season tickets this year (it's the only football I pay attention to). Also got the fancy alum pass as well that provides a very nice catered meal and unlimited beer/wine before the game so we don't have to fight for a table at one of the local spots.
It's fun, we will likely be doing it again this year. So many snide remarks from a bunch of people who stand in a parking lot all day for 6 minutes or less behind the wheel.

It would have just taken longer to come up with them.
I love most sports, even golf and baseball, but I get so bored watching football and soccer that I just can't do it.

I know what you mean, I can't stand football on TV, unless it's the aforementioned OSU Cowboys. Same for hockey, can't stand it on TV, live it's a riotous good time.
