I signed up to rent an A-Line camper for a five day flying weekend in Lake Placid. $35/day.

For that price, it doesn't make sense to buy one. If we could rent a trailer for that up here, I'd rent one for a week every year. The Aliners look like they'd be too small, but they're laid out well, and appear to be very well built.

We camped next to a couple in the mountains a couple of years ago that had one. Neat little trailer. The only thing it was missing was A/C.

A hardshell pop-up. Not as much room as a pop-up would have with the slide-out canvass sides but more sturdier.

No AC? It's camping!

Agreed, not as much room as a pop up. Talking to the girl at work that rents the pop ups out, they get beat up. It's a rental, people don't know or don't care; put it away wet and the wonder why it's moldy when it's opened up. Rips and tears in the canvas sides etc. The A-Line seems a little more idiot resistant.

I qualify......
