Speed Racer to come back to TV

Just saw this https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/speed-racer-live-action-tv-180036677.html  Can it surpass the awesomeness that is the Wachowski's Speed Racer movie?  Will run on Apple TV if it survives JJ Abrams.

*SIGH*  Why?

live action? I don't think so. 

I think it'd be perfect in the 3D anime style like the Netflix Ultraman show.

I think blank static would be more awesome than the Wachowskis' movie.

I was hoping that this was about them putting the original anime back on the air.  And maybe not playing the same episode every morning for three weeks like the local UHF station tended to do...

Because they ran the Star Trek movies into the ground and need a new property to ruin. Because they can afford to buy the rights and somebody in Japan needed the money.

I have been exposing my kids to the original box set in all it's anime awesomeness.  Holds breath for reboot.

As long as the writers pay respect to the original.
