I thought the Vette guys used blue painters tape exclusively?
not on blue/black cars … at least not at our a-x's … we'll turn them away at tech 
actually the best solution is to do the magnets bit and then tape them on … readable and not going to be a problem reusing like the static cling can be
I tried static cling before going to magnets. Couldnt get them to stay on the car even sitting still in the driveway. Tried to get them on several times before giving up.
