Holee carp! If those are pink Rota's, that's seriously my baby sister's old car! She just sold it a few months ago and it's that year Civic coupe, black, stancetard lowered. Daaaaamn.
I know it is not a popular view around here, but I'm very against driving like a shiney happy person on the road. I have a friend from college who did time because of accidentally killing some people that way. That turned me off to the idea of "playing" on the street.
If you want to drive fast, go to Bithlo [or whatever your local strip is], pony up your twelve bucks, and get a real time slip when you're done to prove how good or bad you are.
Bonus: the strip will have an ambulance on hand to scoop your butt off the asphalt after you run out of talent, and they can get you to a hospital in a hurry.

I lost a few friends to street racing on bikes to the west end of the Courtney Cambell, long banked left hander as you come across the bridge with steel guardrail and concrete barrier on the topside of the bank. Add to it the fact that without racing on that bridge it's easy to be doing 90-95 and still be passed like you're going backwards by most of the other traffic on the bridge.
I called it quits with the street after two idiots caused a woman to crash two blocks from her home. She and her daughter were trapped in the vehicle when it caught fire. The husband/dad arrived in time to hear them scream. After the news aired that story all hell broke loose with the street racing scene in that area. Hefty fines for watching a race much less participating in one.

I wouldnt see why people on this board would support driving like an shiny happy person. This doesnt seem like the street racing crowd on here. More of the sanctioned event crowd 'round here.

It's Australia. They are a little behind.

You're right. I was thinking of this troll in this thread. Looking back at it again, you're right.....the majority of the GRM crowd were just as annoyed as I was.

Your sis lives in FL, rather than near you in WA?

Javelin is the FL GRM community's prodigal son. We're waiting eagerly for the day that he repents and comes home......

But the stance kids tell me that they do it for looks, and they don't care about performance! Why would they be street racing?
In reply to MCarp22:
Because someone told him his 15 degrees of negative camber made the car handle better?

Sorry, my bad. Wrong Melbourne.
It's Florida. They are a little, well, Florida.
Not that looks can tell you much, but he looks like such a nice boy in his mug shot. Well-dressed, clean-cut, church-going type guy.
Racewars!
Oh man, NAWZ is going to be hard to find.... must remember to get a new manifold, apparently mine is "in danger".
