so I turn to the hive. I need to find a replacement 4mm plastic or nylon hex nut (no metal) for a speaker wire attachment and I striking out on amazon, home depot, micro center, fastenal, grainger when checking online. Ebay has them, but shipping is from SE Asia and I'd rather not wait a month.

I'm not going with banana clips (yet) as I'll be experimenting with speaker placement.

links to any finds are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you're really stuck, it should be easy enough to make one. Plastic is easy to tap Or you just tape the wires on if it's an experiment.

$1.25 for a pack of eight at any hobby shop. On a small nylon nut, 8-32 and 4mm are interchangable and sold as the same. I use them all over my RC cars.

I can get them at the local hardware store. They have that isle of drawers that has all kinds of nuts and bolts.

I've always found Ace was well stocked with stuff like this. Lowes actually does surprisingly well as well.

Yup, my local Ace hardware has a very good assortment. I know for sure they have imperial plastic nuts, and am pretty sure they have metric plastic nuts as well.

I'll be going to Ace today as the closest hobby store was a strike out. Microcenter was as well.

How do they not have wheel nuts for non us made touring cars?

Those things should be easy to find at any hobby shop.

Good luck!

At the risk of derailing this thread, why would a speaker wire connection have a plastic nut?

You'll need to log in to post.
