I've tried to buy 2 saturn SC2s with blown motors this week. Both sellers didn't include a phone number in their ad and I emailed within minutes of the post showing up. One I got a rather vague response from one and nothing else after tons of emails and the other I've been emailing all week to no avail.

IF THE berkeleying CAR IS SOLD TAKE THE ADD DOWN OR AT LEAST TELL ME!

It isn't hard to delete an ad from craigslist. I know you know how to do it. It's the same process as POSTING the ad, you just hit a different button.

And what the hell is with people posting cars for sale and then going out of town? Why would you post something for sale when you know you'll be unavailable during the period of peak interest?

Do you place your own title in your email or just take that standard title that is given when you hit reply?

I find that customizing the title seems to help a little. Otherwise, the sellers tend to get a lot of emails with the same title and I think they overlook a few.

We can up the number to 5 that won't respond to emails. One did send me a phone number finally but they never answer the phone and won't return my calls.

Ugh, this is frustrating as hell.

I quit dealing with craigslist entirely due to the amount of douchebaggery that goes on with buying or selling anything.

Even berkeleying freecycle is impossible. It's free and people still can't be bothered to pick it up when they say they will.

I saw one the other day that was along the lines of "I am selling my car, it is in good condition, it's a 1987 model, email me at XXXXXXX". No mention of price, location, condition, or most importantly, MAKE or MODEL.

Orrrrrr, they could be like me, I keep forgetting my Craig's account password.

Sorry, I see what everyone here means. Not just Craigs, but 99% of ads online DON'T mention transmission or mileage, or location. Then ,when you call, or TRY to call, no response.

You'll need to log in to post.
