Will you get rid of that damn pop up already! I've had to stop accessing this site on my iPad just to avoid it.

I used to see that in my droid 3, when I was in horizontal mode.. I got a galaxy s3, and I haven't seen it since. I'm on my ipad today, and it's working fine, too.

But I feel your pain!

It comes up on my Droid, only when horizontal screen. Can't close it either.

It's rather annoying.

I see it on my iphone all the time in horizontal mode.

Are you able to access the "non tablet" or "non cellular" or "non iDevice" website? Do iDevices work like that?

Here I am agained having to endure the annoyance of this obnoxious pop up. Could someone please explain why anybody would think this would get anyone to do anything other than stop using this site? Seriously.

I've never seen it, on my iphone or my ipad and I'm on the site quite often.

I've only ever seen those types of pop-ups on sites run by Peterson (Hot Rod, Car Craft, etc.)

If you feel that this pop-up is truly from GRM, then I'd send them a message via the Contact Us page: http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/contact/ To see if they can help you with the issue.

I have no idea why you don't see it, but I get it every time I use my iPad, and I've already contacted them through the forum several times, with no answer given. When they took away the feedback forum, they said we could post on another forum and they would see it, and that's what I am doing.
It started with the new software, and it's only one ad, asking me to subscribe to GRM...which I already do.

The worst part of it is that I couldn't pick on it if I wanted to as it is gone too quick, just to pop up again as soon as I scroll.

It sounds like from other comments that it might be dependent on the orientation of the device when you view the page. I know that the switch between wide or narrow can cause some weird stuff to happen as the browser tries to interpret what the code for the page is saying.

Are you already logged in when the pop-up comes up?

Do you have it set to save your credentials?

Just curious as I've not been able to recreate the issue.

I see it every now and again on my android phone, in horiz mode as mentioned by a few other folks. It usually disappears before I can close it. I choose not to let it bother me, since it doesn't really cover up anything on the screen. I know that doesn't really help you.

Yay windows phone, never seen it.

I have the same problem on my iphone, when browsing the forum in mobile mode. It is formatted such that when scrolling on horiztonal orientation, it drops down (below the screen, not goes away) where you can't click it, only showing up again when you try to scroll down. It is an irritant.

I'm still using the mobile site on my phone (and will as long as it works) and Add Block catches everything on my other computers.

I think it may just be a problem with iPhones. It was annoying enough that I don't go to the classic motorsports site anymore because of it. Of course there is an annoying problem with the site on a windows phone too, but that was also ignored when I mentioned it.

the hidden tabs that you hit accidentally? Those are the suck but it's much better now that we have the jump forums button. I don't hit them near as much as I used to.

It does it regardless of the orientation

Yes its set to save my credentials
And my pop up blocker is already activated, although it doesn't seem to stop pop ups on other sites either..

Well different things bother different people. Also, it does block things. When I'm scrolling down a list of threads, it blocks some of them so I can't see them until it goes away. I scroll again and it's back. Very annoying.
